Great success of the ICC Water & Health at the 38th annual conference of the ÖGHMP

The 38th annual conference of the Austrian Society for Hygiene, Microbiology and Preventive Medicine (ÖGHMP) took place in Salzburg from May 13-16. The ICC Water & Health was strongly represented with more than 20 participants. In total, the ICC Water & Health contributed 9 presentations, 2 chairmanships and 18 poster contributions.

One of the highlights was the presentation of the Austrian Hygiene Award 2024 to our ICC Water & Health PhD student at MUW Lena Campostrini. Her publication was recently published under the supervision of Prof. Alexander Kirschner and Prof. Andreas Farnleitner in the Top Journal Water Research.

We were also particularly pleased that our PhD student Sophia Steinbacher (KL) won a poster prize and PhD student Gabriela Eder (TU Wien) won another poster prize with the participation of ICC Water & Health members and cooperation partners.
