The Department of Water Hygiene at MeduniWien operates one of only three facilities worldwide for testing UV devices in collaboration with Wassertechnikum Wiental.
These activities are carried out as part of a research collaboration with the Veterinärmedizinischen Universität Wien and the Stadt Wien - Wiener Wasserwerke (MA 31).
In addition to UV disinfection systems, the effectiveness of substances or other techniques for water disinfection is also tested.
